About Los Cabos

      Attire
Cabo is a tourist destination, therefore a casual environment  may be felt all around this place, but on the last years some formality in some areas is building up. In some restaurants  a more formal attire may be required to feel at ease, this means no shorts no sandals. So before you get ready to go for dinner, it would be advisable to know where you are going, to see if your presence with shorts and sandals will be welcomed.

      Driving and Traffic in Cabo
In general, most US traffic signs and regulations remain the same, but the style of driving may be said that it is different. Speed limit is not so enforced, maybe due to lack of surveillance, so if you want to drive slow and properly keep on the right hand side of the highway, the left is for high speed, don't be surprised if someone passes you over 90 mph.

      Crossing Streets
Mexicans are well know for their warmth and very well mannered people, but something happens when driving time comes, some transformation occurs. The car has the right of way and any idea of changing this will take some time, speed and reckless driving is commonly seen, just get used to it, and remember drive defensively

      Drinking Age
The drinking age is 18 years of age, you may say it is heaven for most Californians, but be careful overdrinking is common and this leads always into trouble. Drinking on the street although is commonly seen is against the law, the tolerance that the law enforcement agents have, is coming quickly to an end, spending a night in jail due to loud, scandal behavior, and drinking on the streets  is getting common; so just keep yourself within some nice behavior and it will  keep you out of trouble.

      Language
The language in Los Cabos and in Mexico is Spanish, although most everyone in the tourist areas speak English, some " POR FAVOR" and "GRACIAS" Spanish for "Please" and "Thank-you" will get you farther.
